What type of leather does Shooshoos use?

We use only the softest genuine leather in all of our shoes, ensuring that they stay breathable, bendable and beautiful.

Is it safe for my kid?

Yes. All our ‘shoos’ are made lovingly by hand.

What makes Shooshoos a good fit for my baby?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends soft-soled shoes for early walkers, as young children learn to walk by gripping their toes on the ground, and don’t need arch support yet. Both our Soft Soles range and toddler shoes are designed for your baby’s growing needs. Here are some of the reasons why Shooshoos is the best option for you: Our shoos: - Have a wiggle-ready elasticated heel, making them easy to put on and stay on (while providing extra ankle support). - Include laces and ties that are engineered and tested to avoid stumbling or tripping - Are made of soft, bendable, breathable genuine leather that is both safe and eco-friendly - Keep little feet dry and soft in summer and warm in winter. - Are free from nasty stuff like harmful toxins. How often do you add new styles?

We typically launch a new seasonal collection twice a year (February and July), with various special product launches throughout the year.

What different lines do you carry?

We carry two lines in our shoes range. Our Soft Sole line combines classic, wide opening/toe box and velcro fastening - each designed to suit your child’s needs. Our classic soft leather shoos have gentle elasticized ankles to make it easy for you to put them on, and difficult for little fingers to take off. The wide opening toe box line accommodates even the chubbiest feet, while the velcro fastening line allows you to adjust the fit, and the shoes are easier to slip on and take off. Why is it important for my babies shoe soles to be flexible?

Staying barefoot is best for proper foot development. Of course, this isn’t always possible. Our Shoos offer the next best thing to barefoot, protecting from everyday elements without restricting play, growth and natural development. Shooshoos allow feet to do what they do best: grow, wiggle, breathe and develop naturally.

Why does the leather look different from shoe to shoe?

This is completely normal. Leather is a natural product and different areas of a hide may take the color slightly differently. Think of it as visual reassurance that your baby is wearing something natural.

The color on the top of my Shooshoos is rubbing off with my baby’s crawling activities, is this normal?

Yes! The color will wear off slightly on the toe if your baby is crawling and dragging his/her toes on the ground. This is just the nature of leather and is completely normal.

Why do my shoes look like they are two left feet?

Because your baby has not yet developed arches or right/left variation, the shoe pattern is the same for both the left and right shoe. Once worn, they will begin to take the shape of your baby’s feet, helping to develop their feet naturally without constricting growth and development.

What sizes are available?

Soft soles come in S (0 – 6 months), M (6 – 12 months, L (12 – 18 months) & XL (18 – 24 months). Toddler shoes come in US4 – US9.

How often should my baby’s feet be measured?

Children’s feet grow quickly and at different rates. You should measure a child’s feet every two months during the first year, and approximately every three months from 1- 8 years. You never know when your child might have a growth spurt.

How do I clean my Shooshoos?

To clean your Shooshoos, use a mild detergent, cold water and a damp cloth. Spot clean by hand. Avoid using a strong detergent or vigorous rubbing. Do not submerge shoes in any water. Do make sure to shape correctly and dry in the shade. The Shoos may be stiff initially, but should soften with wear. Please note that we do not recommend washing suede shoos. Instead, spot clean gently should any cleaning be required and always avoid any form of rubbing or vigorous cleaning.

How do i care for my Shooshoos?

You can spray your Shooshoos with a leather protector or non-toxic water repellent for extra protection.

Are Shooshoos appropriate for indoor and outdoor wear?

Our soft soles are ideal for indoor use only, while our toddler shoes with rubber soles are ideal for indoor and outdoor wear.

Are Shooshoos machine washable?

We don’t recommend machine washing for cleaning your Shooshoos.

Where is my order?

If you get an email confirming that your order has been received, then it is being processed. The parcel can be tracked using the link provided in the confirmation email once checkout and payment have been successful. If you have not received a dispatch email, and more than two working days have passed since you placed the order, please get in touch with us and we will investigate it as soon as we can. If you have ordered and selected EFT as your payment option, please make sure you send us proof of payment. Your order will only be processed once this proof has been received.

Can I change my shipping address after my order has been placed?

You may change your delivery address after placing your order by getting in touch with us. However, we are unable to make any changes to your order once it has been dispatched.
